Seem to remember this took ages to sell last time round. It may have been one of TVRDeans?

I think it was from dean and did have some "unique" body mods.

Might still be a good car but then again...

Despite the blatantly inaccurate description it looks pretty good value to me, providing the chassis isn't toast.

Worth remembering that the '99 probably has the stronger auxiliary shaft which would make it the most reliable Cerb engine.

Sometimes upping the price ca result in an actual sale as bizarre as it sounds

A bit too pricey for a Cat D that's why it didn't get a bid last time at 8.5K

It wasn't repaired at £7,700 ish when last advertised so he has added value to it. I actually viewed this car with a mate around 7 years ago in Halesowen, Birmingham. Needless to say he didn't buy it but I don't think it was all that bad probably 40,000 miles ago. The thing that put my friend off was the odd colour scheme and the odd Halfords mod, like a dodgy V8 badge on the boot! I can't remember much else. Not a bad buy at £10k or less, perhaps some negotiating to be done by someone?

The car was sold last year by Selby TVR, they couldn't shift it for the £10k asking price, and not sure what it eventually went for. The interior was badly sun bleached and the paint work had been touched up by Stevie Wonder, sorry, SW would have done a much better jobbiglaugh

The only thing I thought it was good for was the track.

CAt D Cat schmee.... my car's CAT D and its been the best one out of the three i've had.. slight body damage in 2001 and been driving it for the last 11 years.. its straighter and the body was off with powder-coated chassis - no damage to that.

its just a symbol for the accident in my opinion... obviously there are degrees of this.

If you tend to keep - CAT D never bothered me as long as everything checked out - i have though pretty much replaced every part on my car for uprated versions. parts are no more than 2 years old, and now i see people buying cars low milage, concourse ready - and they breakdown consistently.

I've never done it but its the same logic for houses some people filter searches to a certain price range so if its below they don't even see them. Not sure if that the case with low volume second hand sale TVRs - however it could easily snipe someone who doesn't know the market and just buys with zero research.

That car is now here seems a little highish £ for a cat D ?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

By the looks of your car its in a different league entirely to this, must have a wide budget or wishful thinking?

Sold mine as a bit of a project as it was a bit tired bodywise & suspension but interior & mechanics/chassi were ok & I sold it at £1850 cheaper than the cat D above, BUT it was only a 4.2, which I think are the best Cerb bargains around!
Luckily the people who contacted me had there feet on the ground.

Hi Dan, no, I have not bought one yet, this one (the Purple one) was interested to know for my Brother!, not myself, as I am looking he has now also decided he wants one!, he thought two the same colour would be fun, but no...in reply to good40, his budget or pockets are not as deep as mine.

I have been to see a few now and sadly all was not right.

I thought you was away until early August in Portugal?.....was waiting until you came home I thought to see if we could do a deal as the car had a few issues when I came to view?.

Anyways, you have my number so please send me a text or email.

Hope your having a good time if your still over there mate!.
