Ferreted away behind the dash I found a crossover box for my speakers, which is a good reason why i've never had good bass from my door speakers, as the bass has been filtered to the centre speaker.
I've taken the centre speaker out, so I need to get the bass going to the doors now.

If any of you have pulled out your factory head unit, you will notice that it is literally impossible to have wired it up in a worse fashion, in the typical TVR way, the wiring is ludicrous. I have a dozen colour coded wires coming out of the head unit in the normal way, yet in the course of half a meter of wire they all change colour 3 times, go through numerous connectors and disappear into the wiring loom. 18 wires come out of the wiring loom to the crossover box, 9 green wires into one connector, 8 grey wires and 1 green wire out of another connector.

To bypass the crossover box, I was hoping somebody might have an idea as to whether I can just wire the two crossover connectors togther and chuck away the crossover box, but to do that I need to know which wire goes to which. Anybody have a wiring diagram?

I supsect I'm just going to give it to an audio centre for them to laugh at and fix, but if i can do it myslef, I might as well give it a go, I doubt I could make it worse

Oh god!!!! I bought the t-shirt for that one about six months ago and it was possibly the worst job I have done.

I rewired mine through to an amp in the boot and just ran the rear two speakers from the head unit.

As far as I remember....
If you can figure out what wires are coming from the head unit and which ones go to the speakers (not necessarily on different connectors) then you can just wire direct for FL, FR, RL, RR and sack off the crossover box and all the kak that goes with it.

Good luck

Was wondering about doign this myself as I feel the need to an MP3 head and CD-changer to go with an Alpine amp and Infinity speakers I have in the garage.

Reasurring to see that I'll have experience of the job having changed the head unit in my old S - and here I was expecting to find an ISO connector in he Cerbera!
