So before I start taking the doors apart and buying new sensors from the RS Catalogue, thought I would just check here ..

My Doors / Windows / Locking went a bit bonkers recently for no obvious reason. Normal stuff, refuses to open, Windows not dropping all the way or going up all the way.. blah blah blah.

ideaUnplugging the Door control box for 10 mins has sorted the doors and windows at least for now, and I though that would be the end of it, but last night I noticed that all the interior lights we still on. Checked that all doors shut correctly, set the alarm, unset the alarm, got in the car and started it .. no dice, still on. Now I am 95% sure that the lights were not doing this before I unplugged the door control unit.

I have made the assumption that the lights are triggered by the same door sensors that tell the window the door is shut so close it - is this a mistake ? Should I be looking somewhere else for the interior light trigger ?confused

Guidance suggestion please ...scratchchin

I know this may sound stupid but you haven't knocked the switch up by the mirror to the on position have you?

If not can you turn them off from this switch?

The interior lights are controlled by the door box. It will only turn them off when it thinks that both doors are closed.

It is massively more likely to be a sensor wiring problem than a control box problem.

Happened to me.

Reed switch in door.

Prove out with magnet.

Find dodgy sensor and adjust.

Unplug control box AFTER fixing and plug back in. Box uses logic to control the lights etc so you need to reset it to check your fix has had the desired effect.
