After much deliberation and discussion with Chillieman - I have now purchased my (boyhood dream) a 1997 Cerbera!!! Unseen and untested!! Unfortunately I decided to read the article on ridedrive and now realise that at 60+ have been doing it wrong in so many ways! Anyway bought and paid for and will pick it up on the 21st August from vendor in Shorpe. Next problem - getting it back to Liverpool!!!! Sooooooooooooo excited and finding it impossible to sleep at night with not only the thought of a 4.2 strapped below me but that damn article scarring the pants off me redface) Hmmmmmmm! Just one question: As I am completely new to TVR's (not even heard one before going on U-tube) How do I get the roof off? Have a good week-end. Hey Chilliman hope the beast welcomed you home in it's usual fashion? PS Did you say I have to get some Sherbet Lemons in my exhaust or was it Cherry something or other???? Have a great leave redface)))))))

Graham - Ex Harley Pilot now looking for a new tag!

Are you currently working abroad? Could you only pay by pay pal? Hmmm your grammar is too good though.

I know nothing of this, I have no idea who Harley Pilot is, and if I did it's not my fault. OK, I admit it, I did have some input on this, but HP knows the bloody roof doesn't come off, they just have a weird sense of humour where he comes from. I've also explained to him that whilst a 4.2 Cerb won't keep up with the Chim, it still needs treating with bucket loads of respect. Apparently the fastest thing (on four wheels) he's ever driven is an MGBGT. I have attempted to explain that, whilst there are some similarities between a BGT and a Cerb, performance isn't one of them. I have to say also that where he comes from people do drive very fast most of the time. But that's usually because the Rozzers are trying to catch them. Anyway, I accept no responsibility for any of this. None. I just hope he remembers what I said about moving into the overtaking lane BEFORE flooring it wink

Hey Chilliman, You saying that Liverpool has it's fair share of light fingered dodgy dudes! ? I resemble that remark. Insurance now sorted, payment delivered - only six days to go before I (think) will have a huge grin on my face - will text you if I can't re-start her. I do and will remember the overtaking manoeuvre - isn't it mirror, indicator, turn - brake skid spin OMG!

PS know anyone who want to be six Cortina Mk2 wheels plus an assorted box of top of the range car badges redface)
