Seems to me that TVR have never released an MPG urban, motorway or otherwise for a 4.5. Are they maybe a little worried that the true figure may show up the true inefficiencies of such a tempremental engine? Still love it though!!!

I think my 4.2 is really good on fuel, especially for the performance you get!!

Mind you I would say that as my last car was a V12 jag

I have three cars, and I would call the Cerb the economical one.

My 4.5 gets 200-250 miles per £48 of fuel. Optimax of course!!
You can do the maths.

Although I've only done two tanks worth so far in mine and all mainly on motorways and A roads, so far I'm quite happy, compared with the German efficiency of my previous LCR as I get around 250/260 miles from both, with a 65 litre tank in the Cerbera compared to a 55 litre.

The performance and factor make up for the rest

Methinks you're not trying very hard. Repeat after me: I must try to get less than 200 miles from a tank, I must to get less than 200 miles from a tank.....

Hope you're enjoying the beast.

I've averaged 19mpg in my '98 4.2 going to Le Mans and back and I certainly wasn't "taking it easy"

Julian64, how's the hunt for an M5 going? Was thinking of a similar move myself.

It'll still be for sale, but from a dealer this time. If anyone's interested, email me through my profile and I'll put you in touch.

I would average about 250 miles from a full tank. A long haul up the motorway would get me almost 300 to fumes.

However, I burned the lot off in 70 miles on a track day... Glorious!
