Hiya, just having fitted the new grooved disks-however it seems some rattling pads have worn on my rear Calipers. Do the rear Calipers from the other models fit or are they specific to the cerbera?

Also anyone know where I can get a pair in good nick.

Thanks in advance.

You will find that the CP5111 on the Elise are probably a direct replacement.

I think the elise ones have bigger pistons sommore breaking pressure.

I have one lotus front here, i plan on (one day) getting another to match up, but it will then need a proportion valve i think?
It will need restricting as it will want to swap ends due to too much rear bias.
I have Alcon 6 pot fronts also, i am actually running RC6E front, and RC8 rear to balance my set up how i like it.

How worn is the caliper?

A little groove will be ok, get some of the AP anti rattle springs from Power as i did, it applies quite alot of pressure on them and stops that annoying clatter on the road.

Contact Tonycerbera http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?h=0...

He bought four good used ones and we replaced his fronts only, so he might sell you them...

Yeah the rattle is annoying, however for some reason the pistons are protruding out even with no pressure...on one side?

This makes the Carbon Loraine Pads, plus the new grooved disks so tight, that the brakes are on and could unnecessary cooking them and the pads.

- any ideas Brummie?

Seized piston?. might be worth a rebuild cheaper then new calipers.
