The time has sadly come to sell the Cerbera to make some much needed space for next season's racing activities. Will miss it like no other car I've ever owned, but all good things, as they say.

After a bit of advice on ad wording and pricing. Ad here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

It's been up for a couple of weeks, and I've just had my most promising enquiry cancel his planned viewing. I've cut the price by a £1k now - any opinions on pricing most gratefully recieved...

Nothing wrong there at all, seems a very good buy at that price. A very niche thing to sell a cerb but I am sure some one will get a great car. Hang in there , the right buyer will come along.

Lovely 4.5..

Seems even a little cheap considering the chassis/engine work.

Should sell soon enough.

I have been meaning to phone you about this car, but i have not had the time to even think about viewing so did not bother yet !!

A few more good photos would not go amiss, especially more interior and some engine bay pics would help IMHO.
Is the colour of the car well represented in your photos ? I only ask as there was another for sale same colour which really seemed to stand out more.....??

Looks good to me... The only that'd put me off is your location. That said, it means anyone who comes to view are serious and not just tyre kickers.

I'd also reiterate what others have said as if anything it's probably under priced, considering the work done.

Looks like your procrastination has earned a few quid off the asking price! Get on and pick up the phone!

Re: colour - photography has never been my strongest suit. Might try and get a more talented mate to come and take some better pics.

I'm going to be in the market for a Cerb soon. This looks a great purchase and well priced relative to others for sale. Location may be an issue for some!

The photo's make the colour look dull and the interior photo is taken from the 'hide the wear on the drivers seat' angle...

Other than that, it's a cracking car that is well priced.

great price for a car with all that work done, and all done so recently too. The chassis work is a big big plus.

It had Engine rebuild 10k-53k? ago & a previous rebuild 8k - 45k before that, why ?

Is it because its not had much use ie 18k over 6 years?

If it's any consolation, mine has been up for sale for a while. Whilst there was interest, it varied from "not a clue" to "slight information" never worked out which was more dangerous...

Every query was the same "has the chassis been replaced" never anything else on the car. So if you want to make money on Cerb's, by the cheapest one you can and change the chassis then triple the price. : )

Mind you mine has been at a 12k service for so long now at TVRC I almost forgot I owned a Cerb. Just enquired after 4 weeks, seems they just started the work...

So once she's back, drive her till winter kicks in and then tuck her into storage till the spring. I did'nt really need a DB9 anyway.

Read between the lines.

Bought at around 45k when engine was rebuilt, current owner has travelled about 18k over the past 6 years average 3k per year quite low (To me)& they don't like standing around so that's why I asked the question.

With this car & the other one @£15500 its a paradise for buyers, both haver had engine & chassis work !
Are you going for it,up your way?

Doubt if it will hang about two engine rebuilds by two reputable TVR garages.
Last two owner's have spent a small fortune on them whats not to like ?

Do you have any pics of the restored chassis? - I think that is the only thing missing from your advert.

It looks like a great car.

Advert now corrected. Thanks for point that out.

To be clear, it had one rebuild, and that was at 45k, before I bought it.

James - I do have chassis restoration pics, but didn't think it was a great idea to put them in the advert. Might look good to those that know about such things, but I imagine to a more "general" sportcar buyer it give the impression of being a "project" car.
