Just had a Sports Exhaust fitted at Joospeed, his 1st Speed Six one he tells me and boy was it worth it. The sound is get as now it sounds like it has the power the car had in the first place but did not seem it. The engine can't be heard due to the great noise out of the back. THANKS JOOLZ you have come up trumps again i recomened one to all speed six owners.

Sorry about getting it mucky Joolz but i had to go out in the bad rain storms we have been having as the sound of all that popping and banging on over run is just so addictive i just had to do it.

Looks as though Joolz has worked his magic yet again. Looks a neat job. Fancy getting it shitted up in the rain though Kev.

I'll have to have a listen at the weekend.

lol indeed .. you should see the state of my S .. it's dreadful but it's for driving. having said that Kevin does keep his car immaculate and the detail finishing touches are what every TVR should have as std I think .. nice job all round

Tell me about it!

Using a Cerb everyday is the best thing to do for the engine, but it doesn't help the paintwork and the interior

Have you kept the cats?

I have removed mine, but kept the standard exhaust. Still doesn't quite give the thrilling note I'm looking for.

I'm sure Kevin has kept the cats on, but what you are missing is the sports exhaust.

Chesterfield is not far from Cambridge. Give Joolz a ring. He'll make the car sound like it should.

I have kept the cats on and the small cherry bomb type silencers that the speed six has but the great sound comes by taking that massive silencer off the back and Joolz fitting the sports exshaust which must save weight as well. I am going to see Kojak tommorrow and no doubt he will have a word or two to say, watch this space.
And just for the record i did use my car every day but stopped doing so after the second engine rebuild and bought a second car, one of Joolz 2nd favorate cars, a little smart and both are used in all weather.

What a transformation.

I always thought the S6 engine never sounded as good as it should....certainly comparing it with the AJP8/RV8 engine. To me, it was always lacking something. Something that TVRs were noted for. That exhaust note.
I can honestly say, that the upgrade is a 'must' for any S6 cerbera. (nearly sounds as good as mine )

Great job Joolz.

Kevin,

Any chance of you putting a recording up here. Would be great to hear it. I've been considering putting a sports exhaust on for a while - I just need to be tipped over the edge......

Giles.

Soory Giles, i havn't a clue as to how to put a sound clip on here (wish i could) but belive me it has transformed the car. I have just got back from Peter Smith Sports Cars open day and a guy come up to me and said that the sound of my car was great and what have i done to it, this is the first time someone has said this to me in all the time i have had this car (3 1/2 years) it is usually about the colour they ask.
I will be at the east-mid group meet Sunday 14th nov and try to go every month if that is any help to you, i know if i took you out in it you would be straight down to get one the next day.
