Right, am off to Guernsey on the weekend to pick up a very well kept Cerb. Its advertised in classifieds section! Anyway, as they don't have MOTs over there and the car has been decatted with sports pipes, I need to get a 'TVR Friendly' MOT done ASAP!!! Wink wink.....
Joolz - can you help please????

Sure. Just make sure your car is fully compliant with all current MOT regualtions and there'll be no problem .. you certainly wouldn't be suggesting anything else would you?

Will call you tomorrow!! Look forward to meeting you, as I've been observing these threads for what must be about 10 weeks now (doing my homework) and have to say I haven't seen anything but total praise for your work and advice, so I guess you'll be doing all of my servicing from now on then!!! Also, I live in Doncaster so you aren't too far away either!

If he doesn't have the cats available, I trust you have negotiated £1000 off the price for replacements? You need them to pass the test, regardless of how TVR friendly the garage is. If it is a friendly garage, they'll stick some in for you, do the test, then remove them again. It'll be extra wonga for the service I presume.

Longbow - I'll give you a tip - when spring and summer come around - book your servicing and upgrades 3 months in advance! trust me, he doesnt just get busy - that garage becomes a car lot!

I think things are a bit more flexible now he's expanded his workforce.

You're right though, I always book early for service and MOT, and my pre-LeMans checkover.
