steering control buttons

Hi, im new to tvr's and got my first cerb yesterday. Everything worked fine on the drive home from picking it up but today non of the buttons on the steering wheel seems to work. I have had it apart and found the ribbon cable disconnected and thought result, but no still no joy. Dose anyone have an idea of where to go from here?

Have you put the ribbon cable back on the right way round? They only work one way and its very easy to put it on upside down (well it is on a Chim).

Have you tried disconnecting the battery. The relays Sometimes sticking
This usually resolves it

Have tried the connecter both ways now and still nothing. Have tracked back the rest of the wiring and nothing seem obvious. Will have a go at the battery in the morning and let you know. Do you know which relay it is? Is it the black one at the back of the fuse box in the boot? Cheers for your help.
