Just left the Cerbera with Joolz, great chap.

Having a short induction kit and full set up

Hoping for better weather for the run back across the Peak District, weather today is miserable, and who has put all these speed restrictions in. Ruins a great place!

Hoping for a good few more horsepower and a decent day for the run back. Fingers crossed

It's not the big number that you'll be impressed by - it's the delivery yes

Forgive my ignorance Mr C, but what is the 'cool' chip?

I think the plan was to reprogrammed the MBE

Cool chip turns the fans on at a lower temperature.

Lovely car OP, spotted it on the Classifieds. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the setup when it's finished.

Nah as mentioned it's the delivery. Jools mapped mine so the torque came in at 2k revs rather than 3k so it's really drivable. (plus 380 from a 4.2 is enough)smile

Be interested to hear how it goes.
Had a long chat with Joolz last week, and think mine will be going up to him shortly, for him to work his magic on itthumbup

Joolz' induction chip includes the 'cooler' function as standard, gave me more confidence

As has been said you will be more than happy with the results, 400bhp is a bonus. Joolz will always check to make sure where possible things are healthy. For a touch more power you can look at decats / linked decats and a slightly wider bore exhaust, this also enhances the sound.

Nice car by the way, looks very similar to my old silver stardust 4.5.....

Thanks for the comments, I've only had the car 4/5weeks so still a lot to learn, but really enjoying it.

I bought it off a really nice chap who was very open and honest about it. It could do with a paint at some stage as lots of chips/scratches but mechanically and structurally looks sound. I've had a few issues but they seem to be due to the fact that the car has been laid up for a while and used very little in the last year or so.

It sounds brilliant, the previous owner put this on You Tube,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ABlbgWgZS4&sns...

I had a update from Joolz last night and everything looks ok, the car is running very rich as most standard 4.5's

Will let you know how it feels when I get it back

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire Joolz...

Watched that video many a time.. Watching it again has made me want to get my Cerb out for a leg stretch. It's been a while since I drove it for various reasons.

Have you got it back yet? I'm another one looking to get Jools to work his magic, but haven't had chance to book it in yet!

Hi V8 I'm getting it back tomorrow so will be able to let you know how it drives then.

Joolz has had a bit of fun with car and has had to sort out a few niggles, such as a new throttle cable, a broken air box bracket , boiling clutch fluid and a melted through servo pipe 1 way valve!

He has also found out that I have 2 different inlet manifolds on the car, so someone has replaced one at some point in the past?

Headline figures
Before = 355 Bhp
After = 392 Bhp

Looking at the graph the after has a lot smoother progressive power curve rather than the before which is a bit more erratic. So hopefully it will be a bit more drivable and responsive. The real extra power comes in from about 5000rpm upwards.

It would probably benefit from a decent exhaust, I'm looking for a new one in any case to get the noise down for track days.

Looking forward to getting back tomorrow and having a run through the Peak District
