Chaps, those of you who are interested in a NOS install - I am currently in talk with a company to buy a batch. I estimate that the cost of NOS installation and a progressive installer and the parts will be between 650-850GBP - depending on size of shot you are after - although I wouldnt recommend more than 100 shot tops - due to the high compression nature of the standard setup.
NOS kits are very cheap if bought from the right supplier - the current services some companies are offering for Cerbera's is daylight robbery - I am only charging £100 for each install + additional costs if you want something more elaborate.
All I ask, is a little window sticker to stick up near your tax-disc holder.
I need an idea of how many are interested in an install...

SXS,
does this apply to 4.2 varient??
Im not going down these routes yet as havnt had car long enough to enjoy it fully anyway but everything else Ive seen stated is for 4.5
what does it do to insurance?
My old timer engine would probably blow up anyway!
I want it to last to 65K miles!!!!
Then I may give boostedLS1 a call! ...
Keep up the good work ... DAS

All V8 Cerbera's - I wouldnt mess with the Speed 6's personally - due to certain component materials in them.
With a progressive controller - you will be in control of how much you push down - and it can be tuned to perfection without any extra wear on the engine - if anything, your engine will like the added cooling effect as well as the feeling shifting through the speedometer twice as fast

They will never say 'NO' to anyone, unless you're a spotty faced 17 year old brat who picked up a 10k cerbera and fitted a 500shot bottle to it.

Does the kit include an extra fuel pump or bigger injectors? Or does the standard fuel system support another 100 bhp? It may well be ok for std cars but what about RR models?
I reckon this would work real well with a Joolz remap chip or emerald.
BTW, you have obviously been talking to A. Melling and picked up that little nugget of info re the materials in the sp6 (mind you I think most of us had guessed as much anyway). If you/he thinks NOS is an issue for that engine what are his views on how well it will hold up if it is supercharged? (assuming TVR keep the parts the same).
PS. No worries if you don't feel like answering the last bit

Fuel pump is not required - unless you're planning mega shot - and in that case you'll need reduced compression ratio and forged pistons with flowed heads - the current injectors can handle the extra flow required for upto 150 shot, they only run as standard at 60% duty.

i wish i were a spotty 17yr old with a 10k cerb ...
Ive been with them on modified minis not the same I know and still have them on my cooper but they wouldnt insure me on the cerb until I had had it for 1 year!!
will get a good quote from then in june they advised me(1yr on!)
Mines still off road waiting for clutch bits ...
will consider upgrading later but not for now ... DAS

I might be interested if you can answer a couple of questions I have?
1. What is the brand of system?
2. Is it a single fogger each bank or direct port?
3. Why are the prices different for the shot amount I thought that the jets are all one price and its just a case of speccing the correct one?
4. Are you going to warranty the engines you do?
5. Whats you previous experience with NOS?
Thanks
James.

Adrian Flux will not touch a cerb with any NOS system on it. We had lengthy discussions regarding this and they wouldnt do the Cerb but will do Chims and Griffs!
I think you'll find that the other NOS dealers are offering a full NOS branded competition direct port system with all the accessories like top spec programmers, fuel regulators, all the gauges, purge valves, bottle heaters and remote bottle openers and there also capable of being fully tuned.
Sorry mate think you need to reseach it a bit more!

I've been involved in the ricer tuning scene for about 11 years (uncle used to run 'Red Dragon Performance' over in Luton up until 8 years ago) - but all mainly with turbocharging, NOS and power chips - I personally have a well sorted 3000GT too.
I'm only offering this service because I believe the current prices for such a simple installation are ripping your pants off... Once you tune it in with safe parameters then just make a visit to a dyno and do test run... (I can get a good dyno use cost for you too)
Warranty wise? None what-so-ever! You try to find a NOS installer who will give you a warranty on a NOS install, customers can change the NOS config and wreck their engines by the turn of a few knobs. NOS requires understanding and respect to use safely. The only warranty you get is the install itself and associated parts, which is industry practice.

Whats that all about? I didnt mention any guages and bottle heaters and the likes - I'm talking about a basic install with a progressive controller... If you want to go overkill - then thats your money... and I did say, if you want some extra work - I can do it for ya. This isnt about making money, this is about helping out fellow cerb owners - and just because I'm not a competition kit NOS approved installer does not mean that I dont know what I'm talking about... geeeez.

Personally I'd rather be safe than sorry with NOS and at least have the gauges and regulator. I too am looking out for the Cerb owners I dont want to see someone blow their car up and then read about it on here cause everyone will only remember that it was NOS that caused it and not the fact that it might be wrongly installed, tuned or fitted to a car that was about to go bang anyway!
No offence but just cause your uncle used to own somewhere that did tuning doesnt mean you know anything about NOS........
anyway as someone else has asked whats the brand?
P.S. I just want to make sure your investigating it fully and remember you were the one that slagged me off for using NOS by saying it wasn't a proper mod and should be kept well alone.

Oh man, this is becoming a pissing contest. Dont start with me. Period.
Anyway, I wasnt slagging you off last time, all I said was its the quick and dirty way - but I did not slag you off, that accusation is uncalled for Craig!
About my history with NOS... it goes quite a long way back - but I aint gonna pi** in here - my experience with NOS dates back way before I had the cossie (which was running 250 at the time), I never liked the stuff to be honest with you, used to cost an arm and a leg back then and I'd get some serious detonation now and again - but that was more to do with my fueling than anything else - but back then I was going via the wet intake route, which is easier to setup (but we did have some interesting detonation after effects and intakes exploding!)
Direct porting is the way forward... and I know just the right angle and position for the ports to flow perfectly - and I got that spec'd through talking to Holley tech guys and running some simulations... I personally will be having a 500shot install all hooked up to the motec and programmed in (no need for an additional progressive controller, just a remote valve). Will be producing around 850lbs of torque with 1100bhp @ 7000 RPMS and thats on the blower alone unless I tune the boost down with my electronic bespoke IGS controlled pressure valve and then - with the NOS I'll have an additional 500 horses and a lump of torque to play with - if I needed it...
PS. Fitting NOS is childs play, and as long as the controller is a good one, theres no need for additional gauges, and unless you're running the thing in some unconditional environment - theres no need for heating blankets - and the purge kit is only really useful if you're running a bottle with massive PSI, if you had a hard time setting it up on your ride, then thats your story.

Sorry mate but you clearly know F/All about a proper NOS set up as the bottle pressure is critical if your going to run it properly so you need a gauge to monitor it!
A bottle blanket keeps the bottle at a constant 75 deg or there abouts for NOS brand and a purge valve isn't just to remove too much pressure its for clearing the lines of unwanted gasses before use!
Like I said if your going to do it do it right and dont f#ck around with peoples cars.
Sorry to upset you Ash

Excellent, this has now become a pi**ing contest...
First of all I don’t remember anyone asking what are all the reasons behind a purge valve, secondly I did mention unconditional environment - this would incorporate temperature? Or r u f'in stupid?
Thirdly, the progressive controller I am talking about has a pressure sensor attachment, f**k putting gauges everywhere...
Did I have to open the book?
For your insecurity's sake - this was not meant to be a primer on NOS, was it??? If it was, then i'm freakin thick for not noticing that...
and i'm not upset craig, just cheesed off - I didn’t expect this tone from you of all people, I like a good pi**ing contest, just NOT online - that’s muppet talk - and especially over something as ordane as this, god you must be feeling well chuffed you nos'd ur ride - sorry to break it to you, so can others and at half the freakin cost bud.
My supplier can sort out full on NX kits for half the retail cost.
See you at the strip, you can have a look at my install - you'd probably faint when you compare the enginuity to yours/TVR Powers whatever... I'm using Holleys direct-port with a very unique feeding chamber
The thing is, we can all talk online, but the proof is in the pudding... And after others have seen my install, i'm sure there'd be more than 1 or 2 interested... Lets not even mention the rest...
PS. I'm surprised even with NOS and all your upgrades, ur 1/4 et's are not much different from JasonBens cerb.... Hmmm.... And he was plastering it in the wet
Oh and if u're gonna flame me online, at least hav the courtesy of having a good argument for f**ks sake...
Anyway, lets cut the crap.
By the way, did you get the Red Rose EPROM installed too? Is that a respectable alternative to the Emerald ECU replacement? Just a mate is going for the Emerald upgrade and if theres a cheaper alternative - might be better to go down a different route...
