It could perhaps be the magnetic reed switch?

The reed switch is in the bottom of the door and you test it with a magnet.

If you search on here, there are many many threads about door/window troubleshooting.

Eventually the problems almost always resolve to corroded connectors inside the doors. Replacing them with properly waterproof ones generally permanently cures the issues. Despite the instinct to blame the least understood and most complex element in the system i.e. the control box, the problem is much more likely to be a bad connection somewhere.

Agree with the last post. Mine was much the same. Removed inner skin and almost all the terminals were either heavily corroded or the wires were broken at the connectors. Fairly simple repairs though.

The good news is the parts are dead cheap and available from RS components.

So just took the good advice offered from you guys took the card off and cleaned the connectors up . Hay presto the window is now working up and down . But does'nt drop down when the door open button is pressed or when the door shuts ! Have I mist something .havent replaced the reed switch as the 2 screws securing are rounded off.

Same symptoms as mine and after checking the 3 wires from the upper micro switch (at the front and the glass runs down over it) found them broken off and hiding behind the door!
Try running the window completely to the bottom and hold the button for a few secs then all the way up and hold again. The control unit may just be confused.

Check the arm on the micro switch is touching the window, needed to adjust mine a while ago after having problems with window not coming down. With panel off you can operate the window making sure the small lever on the micro switch catches nicely

Firstly swap the switches around and if that doesn't work play with the bundle of wires that run between the body and door whilst depressing the switch, these often get partly or fully pinched.check these out fully before you start pulling the door apart.taking the speaker out will give you access to the motor connectors
