Silverstone Sunday Service

What a morning! The weather was so horrible that we pleaded for a lift from our parking spot back to the Porsche Centre - and were lucky enough to get one in a Cayanne. Perhaps 30 minutes later we pleaded with the same driver to take us back. The PH and Porsche guys did a sterling job in horrendous conditions, but this was not a morning I will treasure. There was one other Cerb there, a very clean blue/silver 4.2, but I didn't meet the owner.

That afternoon five of us went to 'The Race Hut' in Slough, I couldn't drive to save my life but my friends got a 1, 2 & 4 out of 16. It was a lot of fun, but very frustrating to come last. I think I'm going to stick to karting....

I was supposed to be going but had a very poorly washing machine to fix!! frown

Good effort in going though. I was listening to the rain wondering what the conditions would be like up at Silverstone today.

Dedication indeed! The wipers on my Cerbera are so useless that you'd have more success politely asking the rain to move. So I opted out once I saw the weather report.

One of the jobs for the winter.

Was forced to take Black Beauty out yesterday in some of the heaviest rain I've seen so no chance of quick progress.
It was commuting time too
BUT
I was cooped-up there in the warmth with the stereo blasting out ZZ Top and the throttle burbling away, looking out my clear windows at the others in their boring tin boxes and so I patted myself on the back, smiled and cutched-down to a comfortable cruise home.

Driving paradise even in jams winkdrivingcloud9

I was caught out on Sunday , it chucked down, on with the air con all clear , then on with the hot (almost too hot) & watched the wipers reach the top of the screen & throw them selves down the other side . Made me tired watching them. Seriously though, I was in nose to nose traffic(as all the green cyclists were in their cars) no problems at all oh & I was slushing along to Doors "Riders on the Storm " Lol

I've got generic aero wipers on mine and they do a surprisingly good job. No lift at speeds I'm willing to drive at in the wet.
