Hello everybody wavey

It's been a long time since I was a Cerbera owner, but I've returned to the fold. Picked this up on Friday.....

Needs some work doing, interior needs a freshen up, electrics need a bit sorting out and a few odds and ends mechanically to rectify but it's a fairly decent car.

It was always my intention to take those wheels off, however I seem to be in the minority as everyone loves them - except me. I know they've got there drawbacks, but I think it'd look lovely with silver spiders on.

This is my 3rd Cerbera now - I must be crazy.

Welcome back, the car looks really nice, but I agree with you about the wheels I think a set of spiders would look better. There are very very few wheels that look better on a Cerbera than a nice set of spiders. I know they are heavy and can buckle but they do suit the car very well.

Nice looking Cerb and as for the wheels my suggestion would be to have them painted black

Bit of a nosy bugger aint ya hehe

1st was sold under duress due to a lengthy commute.

Changed jobs, so bought another one.

2nd was sold as the kids were getting too big to fit in it. Ran a Lincoln navigator for kid duty, but running two v8's was costly.

Kids are now grown up, despite dabbling with Mini Coopers, a Cerbera is my natural home.

I think the wheels/cosmetic things can wait, the electrics are top priority atm.

Windows have a mind of their own (I'm suspecting the door connector), windscreen wipers will single wipe but not turn on constantly (I think it's the steering wheel button), indicator will occasionally not work - unless you put hazzards on (no idea?) and finally - drove to work this morning with no headlights (no idea yet, but possibly fuse/control box).

Wipers - steering wheel ribbon cable faulty

Headlights - burnt out connector in control box above fuel tank

Welcome back!

Had the same problems with my controls on steering wheel turned out to be one of the block conectors running to the control boxes .also the steering wheel ribon cable is a fav for throwing up issues .nice car though is it a 4.2 or 4.5 ?

It's a 4.2 '97.

I think the wipers are the button itself - there's no movement and seems to be stuck.

I had to do the headlight control box on the last Cerb so I'm expecting it to be the same again. Either that or it's just down to multi-plug issues.

It hasn't been used for a long time, so I'm easing it out of retirement. I'll give it 500 miles, recheck levels and signs of leaks then it's business as usual.

Welcome back. This looks like Chris Gregory's old car; does it have the rear bumper smoothed?

It is Chris's old car. I wasnt sure about the sag style lights but they quickly warmed on me, they look suitably different.

Congratulations on your purchase, and you obviously have great taste in buying a black one - they're the fastest, you know! hehe

What colour interior is it? I can't quite tell from the photo (given the pimptastic side glass wink )

Black is the fastest, however, they're very slow at being put up for sale wink

The interior is biscuit and looks a bit shabby so an interior refurb is on the agenda. I'm hoping to get my hands on some tuscan style seats beforehand so i'll be keeping my eyes open on ebay/classifieds.

BTW, the pimp glass would have been pulled off instantly, but the wife likes it. She's agreed that if I get pulled by the BiB, then I can rip it off there and then. I've got a loose end teased off in preparation.
