I fitted a new alternator and noticed after refitting the fuel rail etc and running the engine that the driven pulley on the block itself is a bit wobbly. Can the centre nut be re-torqued or is it a case of buying a new one? If it's a new one, how do you remove and replace it, it's driven by the cam chains, sounds like another world of pain for me....

The bearings went on my alternator drive shaft, the pulley eventually fell off! Andy@APM fixed it (engine out job). Hopefully yours is just the pulley and you can tighten it up.

No! I've already had the engine out twice this year, don't think I can face it again!

Did you have any symptoms that the bearings were on their way out? (Obviously before the pilley fell off that is lol)
I had some strange noises coming from that area on mine. I changed the alternator thinking it was the bearings in that starting to fail. It seems to have done the trick but it's still bit early to be sure.

Yes, nasty noises. Initially only at high revs and then all the time. The noise suddenly stopped on the way to APM, where it was found the belt had shredded and the pulley was flopping around in the vee. If yours is quiet having replaced the alternator then you're probably ok. I think Andy said he'd seen/fixed one before so perhaps not as uncommon as one would think.

mine was making funny noise around 3000 rpm like something was resonating. It comes and goes. it's very odd really.
