Bonnet Stay

Why is the bonnet stay so short on my cerb. I've got a great big bonnet and when its on the stay, I can't even get the oil dipstick out without bending it in half. Does anybody make longer stays that keep the bonnet open wide? Regards MB

Look at the front of the bonnet - if you pull it back any further - you'll wreck the paint and damage the hinge with all that weight bearing down on it... IMO...

Weird, no problems like that on mine. I can lift it to almost vertical without issue and the stay is plenty long enough...

My bar is also long enough. Never had any problems.

Mine's 650mm long but only 7mm wide

I thought about fitting a gas strut....
then it occured to me, "How will I shut it on my own" Doh!!
