Does any one with a car in bit have a handbrake back plate that they could measure?

I'm after the thickness of the plate where the wheel bearing fits as it's thinner then the whole plate.

Thanks in advance
Peter

I may be able to check it for you as I had mine disintegrate last year and had to replace it, I'm sure I have the bits of the old one somewhere.

The minimum thickness of the plate where it bolts to the hub carrier is 8m/m,however around the main bore there is a lip which is 10.5m/m thickness(3m/m wide lip). The backplate is 12.35m/m thick at its thickest point.Hope this answers your question?

Having removed most of the corrosion from the backplates, they are surprisingly thinner in places.

However since they're almost £200 for a pair I think I'm going to try to reuse them, as there's no corrosion around the bolt holes.

I bought a complete s/h hub from Bell Hill Garage for £80 when I replaced my backplate.
