I know there is a fairly sceptical view of TVR Glen, but they have an interesting car on eBay right now, at what appears to be a competitive price. No affiliation whatsoever, but it has to be worth a look at £16k.

Wouldn't touch it purely from the horror stories I've heard on here and the work seen on their green Sagaris.

Good deal or not.

I have had good service when getting parts, bought some undertrays, all of them actually as my car over the years, had managed to shed them, strange.

Apart from the colour it does look pretty good, seems competitively priced, whats to lose, someone might get it for 14.5 cash?

Thats a steal if its a keeper, sure they would be able to supply donor heritage and all info required.

My car bears little resemblence to how it left Blackpool, Feel like saying thank god, but that is mildly blasphemous, as I love design etc, just not the rust and sometimes poor quality manufacture, so if it looks as good as it does, could it not be a step in the right direction.
Hard to say wouldn't touch it, its still a Cerb after all, Frankenstein or not!

Receipts for £12k or done in house and rounded up estimate if what it would cost elsewhere?

I'd much prefer that paint job to mine.

oil pressure looks good in the pictures.

I like the Cerbera in orange, the Cerb is a car that leaps out at you and that colour certainly does that:-)

I think I would get a specialist to look over it but it certainly looks like a nice one.

What is the Cerbera if its not about the Chassis, the body, or the engine all bit TVR.

Why on earth would someone say 100% no way not never, when the PO claims a body off chassis rebuild thats reasonably well documented and then say not even as a donor for an LS, whatever that is . Its not TVR so............

My advice if your that way inclined is get a Porsche Beetle, better still one of those chinese MG's and butcher that!

I was agreeing with Ridds and IMO, and I am entitled to an opinion, based on what I have read on here I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. If you feel different fine, that's your opinion which you are entitled too.

I have no intention of butchering anything, I am looking to save something that's seen better days and needs some TLC. That said I appreciate your advice and will consider it when the time comes to spend MY money. tongue out:

Indeed, remember the "refurbed chassis" that someone had on here recently from a "reputable" indie.

Others are welcome to buy it. I'm merely saying that I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft barge pole.

If it really is that good would it be up for sale by a breaker? I can't remember the last time they advertised a car that didn't have history of sorts.

That plus there are far nicer cars in the classifieds.

On another note (and I'll probably offend more people here) if you're going to refurb a chassis do it a colour it came from the factory, grey or white or a colour that compliments the rest of the car. Not "hide all the nasties" black.... wink
