Do you intend to keep them in all the time?

I got a CE marked pair for my 4.5 for about £150 from Ebay which got me through my MOT no problems smile

I personally wouldn't touch any of them for long term use.

They will be ceramic matrix type, increase back pressure and probably stop working after 12 months.

Find someone that can mount a pair of 100 or 200 cell metallic foil catalyst in the space currently left as they will last longer and not restrict your engine during WOT operation.

The originals on my car were the 100-cell type

I bought a set of the 400-cell ones to pass a test but I definitely wouldn't leave them on the car long-term, I could feel it while driving the car that the engine was under pressure, was like it was being strangled.

Check the sellers on ebay and if they have a phone number or contact details listed you could phone them and see would they make a proper set for you.

I was going to get that done but they would have been expensive and I only wanted them for the test so I just bought the cheap ones.

I've got these - 200 cell. Fitted by the previous owner and manufactured down here on the south cost. I don't even know if the company exists anymore but I can check out the paperwork for you if you like?
Passes the MOT OK on emissions and sounds wonderful even at idle.

I also bought these cheap cats from clickcarparts.
It decreased the noise, but noise is still nice. I don't see flames anymore when backfire.
The MOT (in France) was OK.
But I've the feeling I've lost quite a lot of power (I'll check the difference when I'll remove them).

Hiya wavey,

When I was looking to replace mine (MOT emissions) I looked on Ebay here and a very resourceful chap, on that site, told me that the 'cheap' ones were not suitable for my Cerb's year of manufacture (2001) he then pointed me to the correct article and it passed no probs.

They are well-worth contacting.
