I have been reading through my manuals but can not recal disconnecting the feed for the gauge when I had the engine out?

I am at the point of starting it but very nervous and apprehensive about building pressure as it has been pretty dry while being out the car.

So where does the capillary for the oil pressure take its feed from?

I want to be 100% the gauge will read before I try to start it.

The oil pressure gauge take off is in the V of the engine beneath the coil pack mounting plate. Its next to the oil pressure switch.

OK..... Worried now, can any one describe what it looks like I have no recollection of removing or fitting it back on at all.

Going out to see if can spot it just now.

It is a stainless steel braded flexible narrow pipe that comes from down in the middle of the V at the back of the engine under the coil packs. There's a fitting on the inner wing just next to the brake fluid reservoir it will connect to.

Have a search on starting up oil pressure there have been quite a few thread on it.
