I have had an intermittent problem with the headlights on the Cerbera.

Sometimes the dip beams work, other times they don’t. Its just potluck, going from side lights to dip or from main to dip, they just don’t seem to want to play ball. The odd thing is driving home from the Cinema last night, watched ‘Grudge’ V scary, they were not working then switched on the heater and they worked! So I am thinking earth or bad connection on the fuse? This morning I took a look at the terminal block that goes into the control box on top of the fuel tank I found that one of the terminals was very black and will require replacing.

Does anyone know the part number for these blocks and the connectors? I have been looking in the RS catalogue and I am lost!

Thanks

Nick

5 minutes, a screwdriver, a bit of wire and a soldering iron.

Cut the wire that has the blackened terminal, solder a new piece of wire to it, open up the box and solder the other end to the terminal on the circuit board, cut a notch in the box to put the wire through and close up the box.

10 minute job and it'll never burn out again.

For added sophistication use a connector on the replacement wire, should you ever need to take the box off again.
