Well.... after almost a year of no major problems it had to happen. Like buses, they all come along at once

Got back home last week and done the usual jump start to get going (4 weeks of non use). Took it for a spin and noticed the temp getting up there. Luckily I was just about home so made it back in one piece.

Got in under the cover and yes the temp sender was toast. New one bought for a tenner

Tried to start again and nothing, battery was toast. Still, after a year and a half of being jump started every month or so I wasn't too bothered. New battery fitted and..... nothing . Bollox, After half an hour of scratching my head I finally twigged . I'd forgotten that I had turned off the master key inside

Car going but not charging. Fuse or alternator??? Please let it be the fuse I was thinking. Couldn't find my spare one, it's with my spare pressure relief spring but I couldn't find that either so off I go for a new fuse. Bought another spare at the same time, £1.30...... these dealers are getting rich off me this week.

Back to the car and after scraping the skin off my knuckles... bingo.... 13.7V.

Ah well I'm off for a drive to check it's all ok now.. fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong.

I know you're from Yorkshire mate, but a grand total of less than £100 to get your cerb going again is not exactly pricey

er ...... I was expecting a major problem ...

This sounds like a vital part of the Cerbera ownership experience.....

Have to admit though that I never have to do jump starts - maybe it's a driving it everyday thing ....

Me too. Glad it was the fuse etc...

Ps - You were robbed with the fuse. Cost me only 0.60p

Sorry all ... there was so much doom and gloom recently about things going wrong that I thought I'd add my own light hearted banter to it all.

Meant to add that while I was under there I re routed the cappillary (sp?) from the mechanical temp gauge and my temp is now the same +/- 1 degree from the ECU temp instead of 12-15 degrees high. Much less worrying now.

Have fun out there!!!!
