I am almost certain the Mustang driving gentleman received a severe kicking back at police HQ! The police in the U.S have very, very short tempers. Even shorter when they are made to look stupid.

What amazes me is that they will commit so many resources to stopping a stolen car, which from what I could see is causing no danger to the public. It's not as iff the owner is going to want it back after it's been trashed!

It's not just American police!
My wife was pulled over in Brentwood last Saturday (gone midnight) by two police cars (two men in each).
They were going the other way and heard the cerb coming, thought by the noise that she was speeding (well if she was it was only by 5mph) and U-turned to follow. 1/2 mile down towards Shenfield and the mobile disco started.
After 10 mins of looking inside and out they let us on our way without asking for any documents. Typical!
