Fired up the Cerb last week to a strong smell of petrol, had a good look around under the bonnet - nothing leaking & smell seemed too be going so I drove into work. Having arived & parked up, smell of petrol returned, I left her running and had a look underneath & yikes, she's dropping petrol from somewhere central-ish at the back of the petrol tank straight onto the exhaustyikes
Any pointers as to where it could be coming from? I drove it home from work & it seemed OK?! Didn't have any time over the WE but I fired it up on Sunday & smelled strongly of petrol again...

I'm no mechanic by any stretch , but think your fuel filter is tucked up under rear nearside wheel arch .
Mine leaked slightly after not being tightened correctly after service .
May be worth a check.

Sorry but you are mad for driving it AFTER seeing petrol dripping on to the exhaust!!

Sounds like the fuel lines could be knackered. Do not even start it until they have been checked over and the problem is fixed. Get is taken to a garage on a flat bed.

There was a thread on here last year where a PHers Cerb caught fire at a junction, Im sure the cause was faulty fuel lines.

Hi there is a short piece of fuel hose that connects from the fuel tank to the fuel pump about 10 " inches long worth a look and quite easy to change because they are bent like a s shape they do perish worth a look

Unless you've changed some of the lines recently, I would change them all as if one of the lines has split you can expect the others to follow soon.

Yeah as mentioned mine went in the same way, the one between filter and pump. Replaced with a stainless braided line, with banjo connections at both ends but make sure you measure it before ordering as I believe there are 2 different lengths available.
It's a bit awkward (surprised?) as space is tight in the arch but shouldn't be a problem. Just get it done before your next drive mate.

I'd guess it's the pipework in the wheel arch as well.

If you're any way handy with the spanners it's a DIY job
