Have had serious squealing problems with the standard TVR brake pads that were fitted and have now changed to the EBC Green pads.

They are fantastic, general use they do not squeal and only slightly when very hot!

Will be trying the reds too after, can run even hotter than the 650 odd the greens run at!

Also very competitively priced too, and easy to change!!

Make me an offer on a hardly used set (fronts+rears) of Red Stuffs if you like. They're sitting in their box in the garage at the moment.

Undoubtedly good when they're hot but not very good when stone cold and therefore not ideal for everyday use. I can't be bothered to change pads just for the odd trackday and have gone back to Mintex 1144's as 'OK for everything'.

Bizarre, I have just had Green Stuff pads fitted all round, and the rears squeal every time I break now! Tried filing the sharp edges on the pads down, but doesn't seem to have helped.

I think different pads squeal on different cars. I heard the standard TVR ones were ok, but cost more. I've got Mintex on the rears, and they pi$$ me off with the squealing. I dont know what to put on next.

Well, I've just bought some Mini front pads from Ebay, which are identical to Cerb rear pads, for £5 !!
Probably last about 2 weeks, but at that price its worth a go to get rid of the noise. (awaits flaming for putting mini brake pads on a Cerb)

IMHO, I wouldn't think it's a good idea to use different compounds on front and rear.... Could lead to some 'interesting' braking experience. You'd have totally different levels of grip, which doesn't sound good to me!
