Hi all thought I'd better do the obligatory introduction picked up Cebera a couple of weeks ago after looking for several months , it's amazing how each car feels so different .Previously had a Chimaera for a couple of years .Very impressed with the car at present , completely different driving style to the Chim but what a difference in performance Had to go for a 4.5 because my OLDER brother has a 4.2

Cheers
John

Hi and welcome John

I have noticed in your car details that you have put "bought Nov 2003"

Anyway, which side of Essex are you from? Have you been to the midessex meet? Hope to see you there!

Big John,

Welcome, the first thing I noticed when I got mine was that I became much better looking (while in the car!)

As my wife said to me "Finally you've found something that turns 15 stone of bald lard in to a decent catch!"

I love my Cerb!

Nice car, lovely colour .

Hope you enjoy it, the comment on getting the 4.5 for oneupmanship is amusing, especially considering that the general concensus on here is that the 4.2 is the better car .

Yeah you are probably correct , just that I previously had a 4.0 Chim and after a few months always wanted the 5.0 so had to have the best this time

Welcome - great looking car........oh, that's because it looks virtually identical to mine!!

(actually, mine's an Aston colour (Highland Purple) but very close to Amaranth)

good choice - you wouldn't want one of those boring blue or lairy yellow ones!

cheers

I have to agree totally with DuncanM, the 4.2 is a much superior vehicle in every way especially white one's, oneupmanship is so so shallow.

Your Older wiser,better looking brother

Welcome bigjohnBOY, you have followed the same path as me then, upgraded my Chimaera 4 - 5 months ago. Had to be a 4.5 as well and it had to be one of those LAIRY YELLOW ones.

Well if you are gonna get one let everyone know !!

Hope you have as much fun driving it as I have mine.

Good luck

Better value, not the better car.

Julian of Joospeed seems to be of the opinion that the 4.2 is a much better car .

That's enough for me .

I could quote him if you like?

Edited to add said quote .

Are you silly man? .. lmao .. the 4.2 is waaaaaay better than the 4.5 ..

and relax safe in the knowledge you saved 3k on the equivalent 4.5 with no loss of performance. result

Im sure he means better value, I doubt he would over look the better torque spread/ brakes etc etc

The 4.5, as standard - is a better car than the 4.2, but its not £****'s better, thats all.
