No ignition beep
Discussion
It's been without power for 3 years during the rebuild, I cleaned all the ground points put in the new battery & to my surprise everything worked fine. It cranked over with out the spark plugs enough for me to see there was oil coming out of the pipe before connecting the oil stat back up, also confirmed all the injectors were working, but then ran out of time so I left it like that for a week.
Just come back to it for the big start up & the immobiliser seems to be stuck. I was getting the beep fine last week but now after leaving the battery connected up but the alarm not armed it won't come on. The ignition lights all come on with the black button, but no beep, no fuel pump & no starter. The immobiliser key plug thing isn't flashing now either after leaving it for a bit, sticking the black fob immobiliser key in has no effect either. The sliver key seems to be working fine if I switch that of I get nothing from the black button, with it on just the ignition lights. The battery is still fully charged.
So is it time for a new alarm or are there any tricks to kicking it back to life? I tried disconnecting the battery for a bit but no joy. The alarm still arms & disarms fine.

A bit of a thread resurrection but did you get anywhere with this, was it the immobiliser in the end?
Sorry I followed this up in a different thread, not very helpful! Yes it was the immobiliser, I just bypassed it & everything was fine again. I've got a new alarm waiting to be fitted once I've got the engine back together after the sight hiccup of a stuck valve on the first test drive.
I finally picked up the repaired heads today so hopefully it will be back up & running again soon.
Thanks for replying on this topic. I have a similar problem on my new project cerbera. Without giving away too much information on here, I had to bypass the starter circuit on the immobiliser with my green 4.5. Is bypassing the whole thing just bypassing the fuel pump circuit in a similar way to the starter circuit or is there more to it? Feel free to pm me if you don't want to give away sensitive information on here.

Hi Dave
Ring David Fairclough on 07721 654829, he will talk you through it. He took over from Carl baker.

I spoke to Carl last week on a different matter, he is still over here periodically to sort out TVR electrics. It is good to know that somebody else is offering help here too though.Ring David Fairclough on 07721 654829, he will talk you through it. He took over from Carl baker.

can someone PM me how to bypass. Mines stuck in the garage with the immobiliser gone.
Cheers
Is it totally dead or just the starter or fuel pump not responding? I can help with the starter and I am 90% sure the fuel pump will be similar steps but I want to confirm that first with someone before trying it. In fact I might dig out the wiring diagrams and take another look myself as it should be fairly easy to work out. Cheers
