Seriously good luck sir. Really hope things get under control down there. I was wondering only the other day how many nice cars are at risk with all the floods.
Wonder how many flood damaged cars will end up in the north east when all the water dispurses.
Again really hope everyone already under water or at risk manages to minimise any damage.

Thats a worrying picture...
Can you not get it on some axle stands to give it a bit more height?
+1 I would certainly be investigating this. Or even a load of spare bricks and jack it up a bit at a time. Can you not get it on some axle stands to give it a bit more height?

You must know someone locally who could look after it for a few days?
Unless that's James Bond's replacement for the Lotus Esprit, you know it's only going to get worse so, if you can, get the Cerb to a friend or family member who can keep it above flood levels. It'll be one less thing to stress about then because you may need a stiff upper lip and all the 'Keep calm and .....' b
ks items of recent times may actually have some real motivational meaning.
I hope for the best for you staying dry and my sympathy for anyone who hasn't.
For anyone else driving Tivs, button up the chest hair and be a wimp because the air intakes are too low for oncoming bow waves. It's bad enough to hit a big puddle on the other side of a bend. I know I'm preaching to the enlightened, but it had to be said.
On a positive note, for some areas, having six fingers and webbed feet finally pays off.

We moved the car to some slightly higher ground at our neighbours, so it's been fine.

Great pic of you both in the canoe which will be one for the family archive. Sorry to hear you have succumbed to the flood but glad the car is above water.
On the BBC news I saw, what looked like from above, a MX5 parked in a driveway up to it's door handles in water. There must be another huge claim on insurances again and people have been caught out by the speed of the water rising. A house is where it is, but a car could be moved.
Keep a smile on your face and a 'that's life' attitude. Just stick a TVR badge on your canoe and you have the fastest vehicle on your street.

) Seriously though - good luck and hope you don't sustain too much water damage - it really must be a nightmare down there.
