Hi

should my Cerbera run like its on 6 or 7 cylinders whilst cold, but then all is smooth after 5 miles or so when the engine temp is up?

Even when warm its a little bit uneven feeling at slow, town speeds but pulls like a train when floored.

I guess i need a diagnostics check to really know whats happening but maybe this is normal???

cheers

Pete

It's normal for low, town speeds. Don't worry it's just your car telling you it's unhappy that it's not in its natural environment. Full throttleon the Kamel Straight however.....

I'm no expert, but it could be something simple like you're plugs / HT leads.

Pull all of your spark plugs out 1 at a time, and clean with a wire brush. Re-gap if necessary.

All your plug leads should firmly attach to the plugs, if not may have a likely culprit.

Mine was doing something similar to this a while ago, turned out to be knackered throttle pots. although they could just need setting up as well.

It is NOT normal. My Cerb ticks over as smooth as....
BUT
I did have a problem similar-sounding to yours. I checked the exhaust manifold temps with one of these after a few mins driving and found two of them were too low.

Changed the leads and plugs and she was smoother than a belly-dancer's abs again.

That's a result then! Is your car standard or have you had it re-mapped? A full remap will give you an even smoother bottom end ooh err missus lick

Had Joo at TCS fit Short Induction, 'Cool' Chip and bespoke remap. Managed to coax an extra 20% more power. Delivery has become super-smooth all the way through the rev range."

Let you off it was a while ago!

Given the pain of getting all 8 plugs out of an AJP Cerb I would not clean and regap them, chuck them and put in a set on nice shiny new ones.

Whirlwind/generic fuel/cooling mod, yep its a Jools generic chip will be an improvement over standard but not quite as good as bespoke mapping or he would be doing himself out of business!
