Finally! Many thanks for all your help with my daft enquiries chaps:

On Friday the deal was finally done - I risked certain death by contamination on public transport, and toddled off to pick up my Cerb 4.2... Took me five and a half hours to do the return trip of 120miles, thanks to driving rain, sleet, freezing fog, and finally snow. Interesting way to make friends with a new car! Rather sideways rather too often. Lost a silencer half way too, so the beast is making a rather awesome noise at the moment - until I get my sports pipes fitted on Monday that is!

Anyway, loving it, scared of it, respecting it, and excited all at the same time. Already discovered the tyre pressures were around 60% too high, which rather explains the skittish handling, so got that sorted, will also have the dampers adjusted to suit my driving on Monday as well.

Couple of questions -

Is it a matter of course to freeze your feet and boil your head all at the same time, or do I need to spend some more time working out the heater?!

The car is on S02s at the moment - I hated them on the Chim, and found the Toyo Proxes far better. Is this a wise move on a Cerbie with the 16" wheels, or would I be better sourcing the 17"s anyway for better grip, and deal with tyre choices later?

Meta Alarms - New batteries, and it still takes a kicking to get it to lock - any suggestions to help this, or are they just as dire as the Chim systems?

I'm sure I'll think of others, but right now I'm off to bed! Will update my profile in the next couple of days...

I use Toyo's on 16's and found them excellent but it is always a matter of debate on here.

Yes, it's hot and cold. You can minimise it by making sure the vents under the dash are closed. Anything cold coming in after that is probably a draft from somewhere.

Never had a problem with the Meta, seems to be quite reliable but that's just personal experience.

Hello and welcome.

I have SO2's on mine, usually pumped up to 25/26psi all round and i have never had a problem. I hear many people say they are better than the SO3's

As for the alarm, i put new batteries in mine and its still a bit of a lottery when it will actually connect. Does anyone know where the sensor actually is, as i may be aiming it at the wrong place!

S02's are the finest tyres I have experienced on any car.

The Toyo's have mixed reviews.

For what it's worth I hated the S03's enough to get Bridgestone to take them back after 2months!

I am running Falken FK451's and find them excellent.

As for the heater LOL! I had to drive to work in the snow with the drivers window down to stop misting up the other day!

Call it character .

Welcome btw, as I said in the other thread it's great to see so many new owners .

In the winter months, there's the "characterful" draft from engine bay directly into the drivers footwell.

Numb's the entire of your right leg. I just put it down to another form of traction control ...
