Acelorater pedal
Discussion
If the cable unit was ever replaced with a longer one then that does make the pedal a lot harder to press (and also increases the risk of the pedal sticking down when you lift off
) so it may be worth sorting sooner rather than later just in case it does stick down.
FWIW if you only need to replace the inner cable then a brake cable off a bicycle will work fine as a replacement so long as you have the right connection on the end of it and it costs very little.
If you have to replace the full cable and sleeve there are a number of cables off ride-on lawnmowers that are virtually identical to the original Cerb part so if you've got a bit of time on your hands it might be worth investigation that a bit more (I don't know for certain which ones fit best and I don't have access to them to check and confirm but I think it's the John Deere ones).

Sorry, can't stop laughing ! I have an image of me being dragged horizontally round my lawn with my Mountfield fitted with an AJP (4.7)
