I bought my Cerbera on Valentines day last year lol. Must say i was thrilled to bits, but at the same time worried to death about it breaking down every 5 minutes (mainly because of the TVR reputation). I had put my best foot forward and got the car via Andy@APM who phoned me about a "goodie" which was in his garage being serviced.. i just had to convince the owner to sell, which i did biggrin

Well, apart from the common hot and cold start issue which appeared after the first few months, i have had a year of trouble free fun. I've clocked about 7000 miles in the first year and the car just gets better the more i drive it. I have never had that with a car before, I usually get bored pretty quickly (6 months) and they are soon sold. Not with this girl, I'm still learning how to drive her! Getting used to revving her from 5k -7k rpm is something in itself. I'm used to changing up at 4rpm, as it sounds mad then! It feels like all hell has let loose after 5k rpm, the shear roar power really makes you feel close to the action. Also the pull after 5k rpm is immense, i forget that these engines are more HP than torque, and are designed to be revved. Then there's the overun with all the popping and banging, I'm sure I get just as much fun out of that too!

Comfort wise, it's great also. We have done a few longish trips, I've done 600 miles in a day, and you still arrive relaxed without aches as well. That surprised me.

I have done two track days, one at Goodwood, you certainly get to see how she can reel people in on the straights smile It's certainly a must do experience.

Even though I get all the major work done at APM, i like the way everything is accessible on the car, so i can do some of the minor jobs, which allows me to get involved with the car, unlike when i had a porsche and couldn't touch it!

Even the misses said she thought that this one might be a keeper, and i think she maybe right smile

lol.....will your wife get moody every valentines day wondering if you are thinking of her or the car ??? :-)

I have had mine 2 months now.........i have just started to get over the dread of wondering if everything is going to break, is it going to cost me an arm and a leg, is it going to kill me on the next bend type of stuff. I am starting to really enjoy the driving experience......like you say, those pops and bangs on over run....as good as putting your right foot down.. :-)

I have also just started " tinkering " in the garage of an evening. I have fixed the cigarette lighter, fixed the boot opening light switch, fixed the heater control facia that kept popping out....... i am getting to really enjoy the whole experience.

I hope i am still there in a years time just as you are

Enjoy...!!!!!!!!
