This may be a very stupid question, but do the Speed Six Cerbs have exactly the same engine as the Speed Six Tuscan/Tamora/350? I ask because I'm sure I heard Jeromy Clarkson say in one of his programs that the Tam had the same engine as the one that won the acceleration races in the past, and I thought all Cerbs just had the AJP V8! Was the Cerbera the 'testbed' for the S6?
Chris (excuse my ignorence if my question is blatently obvious! )

Yep, the Cerbera was the first car to host the Speed 6 back in 1998(?). Because it was a bit of a test bed some of the early cars had more than their fair share of problems (don't think I'm being too harsh here).

Thank you Ted , that's my querey well and truly answered, I though the S6 was introduced in 99/2000 and the Tuscan was the first to house it, how little I know

Ted, unsurprisingly, is correct. S6s were in Cerbs before Tuscans by a fair while. Think Tuscs "generally" started getting to customers in early 2000. Have seen earlier '99 ones which appear to have "different" engine issues/lack there-of from 2000-2002 ones. Block should be the same in the Cerb. Must spend some time investigating the earliest issues in the S6 Cerbs at some point...
