Cerbera v T350

Well not exactly...took my mate to pick up a red glow T350 last weekend - very very nice car.
Had lots of fun on the way home - as you can imagine! kids hanging out of car windows on the m'way "give it some!"
I though mine was loud and popped alot - that thing is awesome (sports exhaust though)........... but i was very pleased to hear that he couldnt keep up once rolling - theres the Cerbera torque coming through..
test drove it when we arrived back - extremely pointy and alot easier to drive.
fun times ahead though me thinks!! Local tarmac terrorists!

A couple of customers of mine had a *ding-dong* with their cerb 4.5 and tuscan S .. seeing as the Tuscan S has some 60bhp more than the cerb in real terms it was an eye opener to find both cars were virtually identical in straightline performance.

Joolz, I saw the dyno plots you have on your site, I spent a happy 1/2 hr putting the torque data for all of the cars into Excel to compare them. I guess the area under the torque curve will pretty much define the real performance of the car? In that case the AJP8 has it.
Certainly my T350 is no match for my old 4.2 Cerb in a straight line.
Do you have data for the recent near 400hp Cerbs?

if you have a fax number I can send a fax of a recent cerbie dyno run .. it compares the two recent 391bhp cars

I should be very happy with the power I have on mine then, as when I went against a T350 I didn't just beat it, I think I got about 10+ car lengths ahead, although stopping proved fun so I didn't miss my turning!

I never read too much into the "I raced a" situation unless it's on a staged runway / track.
Having driven both, I'd agree that on a drag strip, the Cerbera should win
but on a circuit, I'm sure the T350 would be the victor.
Of course, talking standard set up on cars here, but it would be very interesting
to compare them in a controlled situation.

It wasn't a race, afterall it was on the queens highway and that would be just irresponsible.....
When he was in front and started to pull I flooored it in 5th to see if I could stay with him and I couldn't every time. I was probably only around 3000rpm though so pretty much out of the power.
Saying that though he probably cheated and knocked it down to 4th!
I've come to the T350 out of 3yrs in a late S1 Elise and whilst I think the T350 chassis has the measure of the cerb you can't hustle it like an elise.
Very happy with the car though

Nothing to do with the T350, but i raced the 911 Turbo at santa pod and beat it in my 4.5!!! Thats all i need to know, especially as on top gear they seem to use the 911 as the bench mark for all other cars to beat! Orgasmic Living!!!

I could mention something about 911s and superior cornering, but I won't for fear of opening another can of Studgart worms!

That is what the Cerb does best, The Cerb always gave an adrenalin rush with a spirited getaway, the T350 however does not. Don't really know why, it's almost as quick, has to be the noise it makes I guess?
I have driven both at Castle Combe, T350 was just as quick as the Cerb there but, in the Cerb I was trying hard, in the T350 I wasn't. Totally different beast.

GCerb, I seem to remember a certain test we put together when I was still running the engine in!
