The conversion - can be done on a budget, but the engine wont last long. We went with the *reliability is key* option - and the cost of the project is coming up to double the cost of the car!

The 6 litre output is more than just a new crank - and the balancing and harmonic absorbing gone into this thing has added a phenomenal cost increase...
(flatplane cranks vibrate like silly - something with such an extreme stroke - will vibrate worse than a juddering ABS system when on snow)... wish I went with a crossover conversion now... oh well.... at least she'll stay true to her origins...)

if you're interested in a stroker and/or FI conversion... drop me a mail...

no not at tall, had it sideways in third at 70, this weekend, but as you know there's always an interest in more power. i know i would'nt be happy with not being able to get any traction in any gear which i feel 800gg's would give but 600gg's would be bliss...

Blockpower - how about a 5.5litre conversion? That'll be bang on the money - give you good torque and plenty of hp... plus you get a complete engine rebuild out of it - and a better build than the factory provides... drop a mail - the engineers can fit you in sometime february if you're up for it... but I've already had a few interested individuals - dont know how many are serious though - thats the thing with these things - so many people are interested, but nobody puts their money where their mouth is... I say - you only live once - JUST FREAKIN DO IT! I dont want to be alone in this, theres gotta be other TVR owners looking for *real* power gains???

Although they're very interested in doing a speed 6 conversion - JSG, interested? How would you like to be the owner of the title for the first supercharged speed 6 on the roads? We looked into the speed 6 engines numbers - and we could very easily push your motor up into the 1200bhp arena!!

yes i would be interested, is it at development stage or is this now a conversion you are ok with, what should i expect in terms of cost,? will the box and clutch take it?

are there anyother problems associated with the conversion. (reliability etc)

what would the service intervals be?

Andy

The BW-T5 is already underutilised - but it really depends on your driving style - with the extra torque - shock loading might mean you need your gearbox removed and sent off for strengthening - the clutch should be ok - but then again, when that goes, you can get a 3 disc setup installed... I personally feel unless you want to break into the 600+ horses territory, your existing setup will be fine, just dont go putting slicks on her, the drivetrain will surely rip out if theres no slip in there....
Email me offline with your requirements, and I will forward them on, to the engineers... I have been asked not to reveal their identity just yet - because they dont have the time to waste to talk to everyone - gotta get my car finished! hehe

My ride comes out in late Jan early Feb - the proof will be in the pudding - I dont think you'll need any more persuasion than that - hehe - but the two main engineers comprise of F1 engineering background and muscle car hot-rod 1000+bhp engine building experience - so they definitely know what works and what doesnt - I've had countless discussions about what I originally wanted - and they managed to persuade me into the right direction, and I'm no pushover when it comes to what I want...
