Alloy Rad? Where from?
Discussion
So after 'The Badger' incident I find myself with a bent radiator - amazingly it still works with no leaks but I'm not taking my chances.
Thanks to ukkid35 I've got a spare that needs a recore but I'm thinking of keeping that for the Chimaera.
I'm often slightly concerned about under bonnet temps with the Cerbera so would one of those alloy rads help any? If so where from that won't hear the letters T-V-R and add 70% to the price?

I got one off Highflow Racing late last year and it was very good quality and they were very easy to deal with.
My car hasn't been used a huge amount since I fitted the rad, and it hasn't been used in hot weather so I can't say what temperatures it gets up to, but it certainly hasn't overheated.
As far as I know I paid somewhere around £350 for the rad (delivered to the South of Ireland)

A new standard rad will work just as well as a new Aluminium one.Having said that...
I got an aluminium one from Arron Rads. Phone for a better price than web.

That was a year ago and all is well.

Thanks Chaps, P S K if you could let me have the details that'd be great.
http://www.raysonsradiators.co.uk/index.htmlVery nice chap, and apparently have done quite a bit of TVR work over the years. They have been in business quite a few years. I used to deal with them 25 years ago during a stint In the motor trade.

Anyone had a new rad fitted by a garage was just wondering what a rough price was.....I know its a can of worms but if I do it the whole car will end upnin bits
Well considering you can do it yourself in about 30 minutes I would have though £60ish max. Oh, plus the new coolant.
The rad on the Cerbera is far easier to get to than the one on the Griff, and it is far easier to bleed...I know having done both.
Thanks guys just a bit tied up at work plus my house is under renovation ......by me , so time is short at the moment. The second thing is im thinking of selling the old girl as im just not using her and I know it does em no good sat around .....hence she may have to go......it will brake my heart to see this car go but I think the time may have come to sell .the rad in the car is just showing its age and cant go on much longer its stupid selling a so up together car and leaving a potential problem , its small fry after all the work I have put into her, thanks for the help

You can cut that crap out mate - you love that car. Mothball it or commit to use it more either way keep it.I only did 997 miles between MOT's this year and thought I could do without it, but gave myself a stern talking to.

As Mark said! I enjoyed reading about your various work and projects restoring you car and selling it would be insane.I only did 997 miles between MOT's this year and thought I could do without it, but gave myself a stern talking to.
And Mark - you only did 997 miles between MOTs - I did 150 miles getting one (5 attempts - don't ask)!

It was a disappointing year miles wise. Just less than 1500 in the Chimaera. We'd had loads of events on which required using the daily I need to change that this year. However Mr. Badger had other plans for the Cerbera so waiting to get the repairs done before I can put any serious miles on it.

They are special cars for sure and I think worth every penny leaving my options open......not selling as I need the cash its really just the useage
Then drive it! This may or may not apply to you but the first step is to make it easier to drive. I have noticed that if I put the car in the garage and inevitably one or two other cars get parked in front the car will only come out on special planned occasions. The fact I would have to spend 10 minutes moving cars around to get it out would always put me off. If I leave my car parked on the drive and easily accessible then it gets driven at every opportunity (but do remember to tell the insurance company and give them an additional £50
