well after all that i have done and said in previous post, ie my babys rattle, i can now say that i have fixed this flaming rattle.

after completely striping down the front suspension this weekend, and finding nothing untoward, and every other conceivable parts over the last 4 months including the washer bottle, blimey the list goes on and on. (like myself)

it turned out to be the door release cable running down the o/s sill, it was rattling and slapping all over the place, absolutley nothing to secure it.

the fix was an over coat of thin car carpet folded in half and stuck together to form a jacket.then slid along the cable till it was covered, (had to take the emergency door pull out as well) then a car wash sponge cut into 3 and pushed into the cavity with a lenght of car hose at diffrent positions.. Avoila..

yes yes yes i am so happy.... my car dose'nt sound like a bag of nails any more...here's a pic someone was asking about the wheels and asked me to post a pic.

Glad you got the rattle sorted.

The picture doesn't do the car justice.
