The time has come.......
Discussion
We've had some real highs and some crushing lows (mostly clutch slave cylinder related...) but a 3rd child forces sale and I've had to buy a bigger house and a Volvo XC90.

Thanks to everyone on here; it's been a lifesaver. I've built up a wealth of Cerb and AJP knowledge over the last 8 years so I will have another one but for now we must part company.
Cheers

Good point DKL.
The fans control the "indicated" temp at 100 degrees, it never goes above this. It sits between 70 and 80 while driving.
However, if you connect the laptop and look at the ECU temperature sensor, which is different to the gauge, it's more like 90 degrees. I think you can put the difference down to the routing of the capilliary tube for the dashboard gauge running over the engine. I think this affects the reading.
Which every way you look at it, it doesn't overheat :-)

It will sit about 90°C driving.. 100°C in traffic is fine though.
That depends on if you have any cooling modifications or not and on your coolant system general health. My last Cerb used to creep just above 100 before being brought down to 95 pretty much as you describe but my new one runs cooler. And so it should considering virtually the whole system has been replaced/upgraded. It very quickly reaches about 83ish when driving but doesn't stray above that. In traffic it will only hit marginally above 90 before being brought down to 85 again. My current Cerb does have the larger Radtec ali radiator, new water pipes, some new silicon hoses, thermostat, new and correctly mixed OAT coolant, newly refurbed temp gauge/capillary, the ECU cooling chip mod and even a new coolant tank cap to keep pressure.
Some might think doing all that is a little OTT (some was already done for me but I did the rest) but it does put your mind at rest and you can just enjoy your drive rather than gauge watching.
Having said all that it isn't exactly the height of summer yet is it. Perhaps that's why I see cooler temps.

Hi, I'm just dipping my toes into the Cerb world having recently finished rebuilding a Toyota Supra and was wondering if this car is still for sale? Cheers
