4.5 Tyre help

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a pair of Toyo Proxes T1-S front tyres for my 4.5, but really struggling. The only ones I can see are T1-Sport, which have a completely different tread pattern.

Do I need the T1-R now?

Size is 235/40/ZR17 (90Y)

Any ideas for which tyre I should go for - I want to stay with Toyo to match the rears?

ahem - just did a search... I take it the T1-S is now obsolete....

I have T1 Sports all round on my 4.7 they seem fine and dandy for fast road and odd wet day use replaced the old T1-R which are obsolete

Is the tread pattern on the Sport completely different to the old T1-R & T1-S?

Also do you know whether I have to go for a Y rated tyre, as I've found some T1Rs in a W rating?

Toyo T1-S were obsolete more than 10 years ago! T1-R have been obsolete about 3-4 years.

The T1-Sport replaced the T1-R. The T1-S was a horrific tyre, wet weather handling was borderline dangerous, the T1-R put toyo back on the map. The T1-S was definitely before T1-R.
