Hi all

I have been back and forwards on whether to do this or not, but I love the look of the newer headlight upgrade, my old originals are shot and need replacing and the front end needs a full respray, so although it might be frowned on by the "keep it original" folk (which I do genuinely understand) I think doing the upgrade makes sense.

So what do I need? I have a bodyshop who are willing to do the bodywork as I already have the pods, but what lamps do I need? What do I need to do in terms of wiring loom? Are there any diagrams I can follow?

Is there anyone out there who have done this and can she some light?

Thanks in advance.

James

I hear you, but I need to repaint the front and buy new bulbs, reflectors and upgrade the wiring as they wont pass the next MOT. They are less that the usual candle power and cannot be driven at night in its current state.

Im my head it doesn't make sense to spend all that money and not have the look I prefer.......

Each to their own. I just think the Cerb is perfect as is.

I'm with you. Do it. I purposely sought a Cerb with the new style headlight set up. I think Cerbera's with the original headlights look dated. But it's a personal choice....

Thanks for the link, but the bodyshop is at the end of my road and I already have the pods so want to do this myself.

Has anyone got any insight into how it is wired?

Usual HID retrofit uses the existing feed to the lights to turn on the HID ballast pack, the ballast pack has a fused feed which needs to be connected direct to the battery, and output from ballast pack goes to the bulb(s).

I have a full conversion kit available if you're interested. It includes pods, complete hella headlight set and both fibreglass/stainless steel headlight surrounds to choose from. I think there are also some additional fittings in the box. Everything is new and packaged.

The set costs around £620 last time I priced it up, I would accept less than half that.

Unfortunately, I have sold my Cerbera so they're surplus to requirement.
