Hello All,

Does anyone else have a gap/hole in their block casting in front of the bell housing at the starter motor mounting?

Mine looks like this:

It had a piece of aluminium plate stuck on (badly) with silicone over it. I know it's TVR but neither the plate nor the glue looked very 'factory'. I suspect it's been bodged at some point. I'd like to know what it's meant to be like before I go and make my own better quality cover.

Regards,
Olly

I've seen a rubber grommet on the parts sites for this gap I think.
Looked from above with the starter on looks like a 10mm gap?

Sounds about right, maybe a little more than 10mm but not much. But it tapers to zero.

Mine certainly had a bit of ally plate sikaflexed over it. Can't say if that was factory fit though.
