Hi all. wondering if anyone is heading down to ace on weds and if they wouldn't mind me sticking my head under their bonnet for a quick peak. I'm in the process of putting mine back together and haven't been thorough enough with the photos rolleyes

Why not post some pictures of the areas you need to look at and we can replicate the areas. Mines still got the valve covers and intakes off at the moment and I could post some piccies if it helps!!

I'll post a thread up very soon including a few pics. It's had a slight subtle change to the front. ;-)

Good to meet you paul.
I've got some recent photo's of my engine minus the air pipes then minus the fuel rail showing the route of my fuel pipes and then minus the alternator if you still need info.

Hi Mark. I've got it sorted and haveanaged to work it out. it seems there are several ways of doing this but mine goes like follows.

Fuel supply is to the front of the rail via 90degree connector. comes out the back of the regulator and to the cooler at the front. from the cooler it then goes straight back to the tank. I Thbk what was confusing me was the vacuum hoses and that i'd forgotten about the existence of one hose!

I know this was diacussed in Another thread but it raises the issue of what function the cooler really provides. since taking ownership I've never had a/c working and I imagine many people don't use their A/C when on a track day where the car would experience higher than normal temperatures, but don't suffer any problems. I know someone has done some tests on running the car with and without a/c but does the energy the a/c use counteract any benefit the cooler provides?

Sorry for being so antisocial last week. I just couldn't get the diagnostics to connect - because I forgot you have to have the immobiliser deactivated.
