SOS: Spare handbrake anyone?
Discussion
Slightly frustrating, but my Cerb has been off the road for around 9 months now, and after taking it to Neil Garner for MOT it failed on just one thing - the handbrake - although not due to lack of braking force as you would expect, but the lever itself. Apparently the ratchet is chewed up and is slipping. These are bespoke to the Cerb apparently - Griff/Chim and Tuscan and later models won't fit and you can't buy them new. So its sitting there MOT'less all because of the bloody handbrake ratchet!!
Don't suppose anyone has a spare lying around by any chance?

Sorry - just hunted through garage and can't find it. Think I assumed I'd never need it (I only got it by accident) and skipped it.
Duncan, many thanks. I got hold of one via a breakers and it should be with me Tuesday. I suppose its a remnder that some parts really are going to get increasingly hard to source.longbow said:

Bad news. Mine got told it was marginal by the same mot bloke last week. Didn't realise you were local to me now.
Dave, where abouts in Wilts are you? I'm just off J17 of the M4 at Hullavington.
