Hi Guys
Had a new hose made by a local engineering company in March ready for the blazing sunshine. Filled and tested, Was all working until the new hose decides to split on the joint shown in the picture. I know it was a mare to replace having the bonnet off and filter housing out, has any one got a simple solution to removing the hose with the least amount of parts being removed.

Cheers
Nigel

Hi Nige,
If i were you and the car is mobile i would loosely re connect that pipe too the condenser and drive the car to the guys that did the crimp and politely ask if they would re-do it, (assuming you have enough slack in the hose as that will require cutting off).
I'm a refrigeration engineer and i've spent many a long afternoon looking for gas leaks on chilled delivery wagons with those connections and i have seen that before, i think its either the result of a poorly manufactured fitting or a damaged crimp former.
Failing that, you used to be able to get a mechanical fitting which had a nut that slides over the hose and a male fitting which inserted into the end of the hose (o.k. now, bring your imagination back) then the nut threaded back onto the fitting creating the seal, bit like a compression fitting. There's a company called G.A.H. Refrigeration in Suffolk somewhere that used to sell them, don't know if they still do though, you could google them if you dont have any joy with your guys.
Good luck, Simon.
