Seems too cheap considering it's had a lot of expensive work done....

If that's as good as it says then it's well under priced. Buyer beware though, either it's hiding something or the owner needs the cash quick.

Worth a look though.

Not that cheap, it does not say the chasis has been fixed, sounds as though its been brushed off & painted with something. Also the Clutch it may have been fitted before he bought it or could be 4-5 years ago when he first bought it.

Awhile back last year there was a rash of cheap early 4.2's .I know I bought one,as I have found out not that cheap. UKkids seems to be the cheapest & thats mainly because he is able to do most of his own work ...including a body off chassis repair not a wipe & brush up...not cheap & green can be hard to sell, unless BRG which its not.

It's green and the interior looks a bit eurgh.

Would probably help if the steering wheel was recoloured and a new carpet set in a dark colour.

Jamie,
There are some cheap (good) Cerbs out there - I know I bought one last year for under £11.000. I was also wondering what was wrong. Fortunately - nothing apart from a leaking back damper. My car drives, rides and stops perfectly. It looks stunning and definitely have the complete wow factor. I am deeply in love with TVR - I really couldn't be happier redface) but looking at the vehicle in question - surely with the miss matched colour interior something drastically (may have) happened to it. As mentioned buyer beware!

Ive spoken to the chap, seems a very genuine seller. I was going to try and see it tomorrow but he was having another viewing before me so could be too late.

I quite like the green smile

Whats the "all important engine rebuild by TVR Power"? Its not a straight 6. New cams? Big miles or an engine failure?
What's the mileage? Conveniently forgotten maybe? Why would you not put the mileage?
Hmmm.......

Ah missed that!
Don't understand the all important engine rebuild. Is the seller confused about the engines maybe?

You're right, I paid far less for my 4.5 than any Cerb on the market now, by some margin. However I've not done the body off on mine, I have merely assisted djstevec with the body off/on stage of his lavish restoration. My chassis has been kept going with repeat coats of POR15 before its annual visit to a TVR friendly MOT station.

However I have paid two people to work on my car, Andy at APM to resolve a low power issue (not my cam timing, but instead blocked cats), and of course Joolz for the invaluable short induction remap.

I've not done that many miles in the three years I've owned it, perhaps 13k, although almost all is to/from/during track days.

The other reason my car was so cheap, is that it has the Paint Job From Hell http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I can honestly say, that although it looks rubbish that has not affected my driving pleasure at all.

I always call it the exit from Adenau bridge, but I think the real name of that Nurburgring corner is Ex-Muhle - like you didn't know already!!!
