Well the weirdest thing happened yesterday when i was backing the Cerb in the garage.
I returned from a 'spirited' drive with the engine nice and warm...
Letting her idle for 1min while puttings the motorcycles put of the way.
And then when i reversed into the garage steam came out of the left corner, where the expansion tank is, only when i BRAKED!
What the...???
It's kind of on a slope so i have to reverse a bit then brake, bit more, then brake, etc
And each time i braked a puff of steam came out.
How the hell can the brake system influence the cooling system...
Anyway there's nothing wrong while driving But i was just wondering

Have you checked the brake fluid resevior, worth a look just in-case its a fine mist of brake fluid hitting a hot part of the exhaust ?? Just a guess mind !

The brake fluid reservoir is on the right side of the car.
And the steam came out of the left. just the battery and water tank there confused

As you say WIERD ....

Does it do it when stationary and touching the brake or just when moving and braking ? i was just wandering if it could be sloshing some water from somewhere onto the exhaust.

Don't ignore early warning signs. Chances are some part of the cooling system is operating below par. Could be the cap, thermostat, rad or fans, but hopefully not pump or headgaskets.

You are being given a gentle reminder that all is not well, take the hint.

Hmm you might be right.
Maybe a good time to check everything because she is running quite hot sometimes ...
Gotta make sure everything is perfect before running to Joolz...

Inertia.....
When you brake, unfixed objects, such as pooling water, will continue in the original direction.
Soooooo
You might have water pooling somewhere and when you brake it drips, dribbles onto summat HOT !wink

I would suspect a leak at the pipe under the header tank which then drops onto the exhaust....

or, if you're very lucky, then on top....
