Suspension bouncy bouncy, time to replace.

Had the car loaded up with stuff for the skip today, it was a bit heavy (battery's, cast iron gas heaters etc etc) and it put the final nail in my suspensions coffin.
My back end is now more bouncy than tigger on acid.
Nitrons are the obvious choice, but having a few big bills recently, I'm seriously tempted with Gaz Gold Pro's.
I'm sure I saw a thread recently where someone had stated the best place to go for a deal, any ideas?

Just had a look on their website,under services and the page is blank?. but there seems plenty of spares available. By the replacement parts, and either build up yourself, or get a local specialist to do the work, if the dampners you have are not completely FUBARED ?I've got AVO shocks on mine

That's what the previous owner had on the car when I got it and the front ones are still the same ones that came on the car
One of the back ones was weeping its fluid so I replaced both the rear ones shortly after I got it
I've added roughly 30,000 miles on to the car while I've had it without any issues at all with the "old" front shocks or the replacements I put on the back
If I had to replace the shock again I'd probably just use the same again
At £110 each they're not mad money either

From what I was told Protech offer a rebuild service so I would certainly give them a ring or drop them an email to get prices before going out and buying a new set.
I did a lot of reading before replacing mine and went with Protech's supplied by Joolz after he evaluated what I wanted from them, what I use the car for and then built me a set for my car. Price, customer service and turn around was great, Protech aren't that far from me so if I were to ever have a problem they will rebuild them whilst you wait I was told.

I've deliberated and my conclusion is - Stick to protechs.
I'm not 100% sure the rears are protechs, the fronts are, but scrabbling around in the dark in the works carpark, the rears don't seem to have an adjuster.
For peace of mind, I'm replacing the lot.
BTW, I could do with Joolz's number so I can get them ordered in the morning. PM anyone?

Interesting, as that certainly wasn't my experience. Billsteins are ok, but not the best, they're a compromise between cost and performance. I fitted nitrons, have had them for 8 years now and can't fault them. Tram lining has been eliminated and the car has always felt secure on the road. It was £150 to get them all rebuilt last year I was trying to decide whether to refurb my own Gaz golds so I wanted new bushes and a couple of lock rings. I rang Gaz and while I was on I enquired about replacing with the Gaz Gold Pro's (Hardened Aluminium Body instead of steel). They wouldnt supply me as an end user, but the guy did give me the number of one of their biggest clients saying that he would be in a position to give me a good deal.

Seemed a very good price in comparison to what i could find on the net.
