Air con stuck on

Left the car out in the rain last night and now the air con is stuck on. When I depress the switch you can hear something happening behind me maybe in the boot but won't go off. Could it just be a little bit of damp as heavy rain this morning? Thoughts ???

Don't knock it better than being stuck off if you ask me! A totally useless answer I appreciate but you'll thank me once summer arrives!

Probably a duff relay there are some in the boot behind carpet on right in my 2000 4.7 but not sure if it's done through a control box, top of petrol tank, slightly more useful answer I hope
