In my never ending quest to source the problem with my speedo I need to find multiway connector J33. Workshop manual says it is behind the drivers seat, along with J34 and J35. They're 36, 24 and 19 way connectors, respectively, so shouldn't be hard to spot, but for the life of me I can't work out where they mean. Definitely not on the floor, or in the sill. I hope they aren't on the tunnel as I really don't want to go messing about removing the tunnel upholstery!

If there has been anyone who has removed the interior and maybe has a photo of where these connectors might be it would be gratefully appreciated!

J33, J34 & J35 are behind the helmet holder on my car. They are the rear harness side of the main harness plugs J30, J31 & J32 respectively.

Ahhhh, that explains a lot!

I'd almost feel stupid, but I was led by the workshop manual that stated J33, J34 and J35 were "Behind drivers seat" and J30, J31 and J32 were "Behind N/S passenger seat".

I should have known not to trust the manual when I noticed on the previous page (P16), it states J64, J65, J67 and J68 are all "Top of passenger footwell", despite pointing to 4 different locations across the rear of the car!

Yes - those location diagrams are a bit misleading at best. Its also odd to my mind how each side of a connector has been given a different number! All part of the joys of TVR I suppose. Pull the helmet holder out and all should be revealed.

Yea, I was already well on to those connectors behind the helmet holder.

I thought that was odd too, until I realised that the colour of wires going into one side of the connector does not always equal the colour of the wires coming out the t'other side! hehe Oh TVR!

Definitely behind the helmet holder. I went through all those when tracing my immobiliser issue
